Free Sudoku Widget for Your Website
Add a playable Sudoku game to your blog, school page or puzzle site in one copy-and-paste step. No sign-up, no ads, no tracking, fully responsive. Pick a difficulty, theme and colour, preview it live, and copy the code.
Who uses an embeddable Sudoku?
- Teachers add a logic warm-up to a class page or learning platform.
- Puzzle and games sites offer Sudoku without building or hosting a game.
- Bloggers and newsletters give readers a reason to stay on the page.
- Libraries, clubs and care homes put a free brain-training game on their website.
- Newspapers and magazines add an interactive puzzle next to an article.
How to add the widget
- Choose a difficulty, theme, size and colour above.
- Click Copy code.
- Paste it where the game should appear: a “Custom HTML” block in WordPress, an “Embed code” element in Wix, a “Code” block in Squarespace, or straight into your page’s HTML.
- Publish. That’s it.
The widget runs on its own, but it pairs well with our other free tools: printable Sudoku PDFs, the Sudoku solver and the how-to-play guide for beginners.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Sudoku widget really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no API key, no usage limit and no fee. The only thing we ask is that you leave the small “Play Sudoku at IntoSudoku.com” link in place.
Will it work on my site or CMS?
The widget is a standard iframe, so it works anywhere you can paste HTML: WordPress (Custom HTML block), Wix, Squarespace, Blogger, Ghost, Moodle, Google Sites, newsletters that allow iframes and any hand-written page.
Does the widget track my visitors?
No. The widget loads no analytics, no ads, no cookies and no third-party scripts. Puzzles are generated in the visitor’s browser and nothing is stored or sent anywhere.
Is it responsive?
Yes. The board scales to whatever size your iframe has, so it works in a narrow sidebar as well as a full-width article. Use width 100% with a max-width and a fixed height, as in the generated code.
Does every visitor get a different puzzle?
Yes. Each load generates a fresh, unique-solution puzzle at the difficulty you chose, and players can switch level or start a new puzzle from inside the widget.
Can I use it in a classroom?
Absolutely. Teachers use it for logic and maths warm-ups: embed it on a class page, set the difficulty to Easy, and students can play with hints and pencil notes on any device.
Can I change the colours?
You can pick a dark or light theme and an accent colour in the generator above. The code updates instantly.
Do I have to keep the link?
Please do. The link is how the widget stays free for everyone. Removing the attribution link or the “Powered by IntoSudoku” line inside the game is not permitted.
